The Pueblo city directory shows a Charles E. Bullen living in the house in 1903/1904. Amazingly, for a family that lived in the house for just a short period of time, we were able to find a decent amount of information. What made it difficult to confirm that these were the correct individuals were that the names Charles and Hattie Bullen were found in each of their families. We were stumped until a copy of their Marriage Application and Marriage License were discovered. It shows that both the Groom and the Bride had a last name of Bullen. To make it more confusing, Charles (the groom) had a sister name Hattie, and Hattie (the bride) had a brother named Charles.
The 1900 U.S. Census shows that the family consisted of Charles (father), Hattie (mother), and daughters Anna and Adeline lived in Denver, Colorado. It is safe to say that all four lived in the house in 1903 and 1904. The 1910 U.S. Census shows that a nephew lived with the family. It is unknown if Hal H. Bullen lived with the family in 1903.
