WEBB FAMILY

2006 to the Present

David & Nicole Webb We were living in a smaller house not far from the Mountain View Cemetery while they were engaged. One day David was driving down Lake Avenue and saw this really interesting house. One a whim, he called his Mortgage Broker to see if they could qualify for a house like...just for the fun of it. Amazingly, he qualified. After getting home, David asked Nicole if she wanted to see the house...just for the fun of it. Amazingly, she did. David then called his Real Estate Broker and asked if she would show the house to them....just for the fun of it. Amazingly, she agreed.

David and Nicole excitedly began touring the house. The condition of the first floor of the house was fair. It needed a fresh coat of paint. The layout was really funky. A person had to wind through the Dining Room and Family Room, through a Pantry (our Wine Room), and finally into the Kitchen. We turned the corner from the Kitchen into the Eating Area and saw the brick wall. We looked at each other and knew that we were meant to have this house. We then looked at our Real Estate Broker and told her that we wanted to put in an offer on the house. She thought we were crazy. We had not even seen the second floor, the basement, or anything else of importance about the house. After touring the rest of the house, we were even more convinced that we had to have the house. We were not in the market to buy a new home, but we put in an offer anyway.

We closed on the house a week before our wedding day. However, because of the planning required for the wedding, we were not able to do anything to the house before the ceremony. Then came the honeymoon. It was over three weeks after Closing before we started working on the house in preparation for moving in.

We anticipate being in the house for a VERY long time. Nicole says that if she cannot walk up the stairs, she will crawl up them before she leaves this house.

We want to Thank those who contributed to the History of our House
